Rikki's Muse

Despite being creative for most of her life, Rikki did not pursue an Artistic career seriously until 2018 after the birth of her son. During her journey through motherhood, Rikki used her art as a creative outlet which naturally progressed into a passionate, full-time career. When asked about the inspiration behind her art, Rikki revealed that gratitude continues to serve as an underlying muse for all her artistic endeavours.

Rikki: "My source of inspiration has been gratitude. So I have been thinking of all the things I have been grateful for. The theme of the ocean also runs really deeply through all of my work."

Rikki was kind enough to give us a peek behind the scenes into her dreamy studio. She shared her gratitude for the space and how it can be grounding when she considers the future of her career.

Rikki: "This studio in particular, I just love so much, because it's my home. I grew up here and it's out the back of my family home.

And I think for me, when I'm in the mode of creating something new, I'm kind of thinking about the future and I'm thinking about my future as an artist and where I want to take my work.

But having the studio at my family home is so grounding for me because it serves as a reminder that this is who I am, this is my space and I just get to go and create."
