Palmer & Gunn is a "wee tiny" nestled in the Gold Coast Hinterland. This sweet farm shack is a unique, tiny house, built using reclaimed materials, vintage fittings, antique doors and features a stunning wood fired cedar hot tub. The hinterland surrounding Palmer & Gunn boasts spectacular waterfalls, lush rainforests, ancient trees and impressive views.

Q: What does the perfect stay at Palmer & Gunn look like?

Slow mornings on the veranda listening to the bird’s song, cuppa in hand. Followed by creek swims, picnics, and afternoon baths in the clawfoot tub with a good book. Then nights spent relaxing in the wood-fired hot tub and dinner by the fire.

Q: What are the special accents that make staying at Palmer & Gunn unique?

We love all things old, so when we designed and built our one-of-a-kind tiny house for slow stays we used reclaimed materials, vintage fittings, antique doors and windows, not to mention a beautifully curated collection of antique furniture and beautiful linen bedding to create the most enchanting space. My top three favourite features have to be the cedar wood-fired hot tub, the antique cast iron claw foot bathtub and sitting by the fire on the veranda overlooking the creek.

Q: What are the must-see places for visitors to experience the region like a local?

Springbrook National Park is a must- just 30 minutes away. Nature does it best, so we recommend guests put their walking shoes on and go chase some waterfalls. For the perfect day out follow it up with a piece of cake at one of the local cafes on the way back. Oh and I wouldn’t be a local without recommending guests grab dinner at Panchos Tex Mex restaurant just 5 minutes away- margaritas and a chimichangas yes please!
